Look after your team. Show it in your QIP.

A ten-week wellbeing program for early childhood educators that builds your Quality Area 7 evidence as it goes, with a staff meeting record for Quality Area 4.

What it is

The Evida Standard runs in ten-week blocks. Each week your educators watch a short video with one practical technique drawn from published research, do a quick check-in and fill in a reflection card at the centre. About five minutes a week, and the cards never leave your centre.

For educators

A short technique video each week, a quick check-in and a reflection card. The techniques aim to help them stay steady through the hard moments, notice what's going well and switch off when the shift ends.

For leadership

A weekly information sheet explaining what the team is doing and why, including the research the technique was developed from, with the cards ready to print. Four private Reflection Moments that become evidence of your own reflective practice.

Your QIP evidence pack

A Word document with statements for elements 7.2.1, 7.2.3 and 4.2.1 you can use as they are or tweak to suit your centre, a record of what your team did and said, and space for your reflections and next steps.
A summary of your team's check-in answers, showing what they're finding hard and what would help, so you know where to act.

Common questions

What does it cost?

Block 1 is $700, GST included, and you can buy it online today. It covers every educator at your centre and the leadership pathway for your director.

After Block 1, the year is $3000, GST included: up to six blocks over twelve months from the day you buy, one team block at a time with the Leading strand alongside it for your room leaders. We invoice it, and you can pay in instalments. Finish Block 1 and upgrade within 90 days, and the $700 comes off.

Same price whatever the size of your team. We don't sell the later blocks on their own.

Can we try it before we buy?

Yes. The free sample week is Week 5, exactly as your educators would see it, plus what the director gets that week. About ten minutes.

Who sees what my educators write?

The reflection cards are paper. Your educators fill them in at the centre, your director reads them, and they stay with you. Nothing on a card is ever typed in, photographed or uploaded to us. They're yours, and what you do with them is up to you.

Educators don't need a login. The weekly video and quick check-in open from a QR code, and the only thing the check-in asks for is your centre code, so the answers reach us with no name, no email and no account behind them. We see them so we can put your summary together; your director only ever gets team totals, never who said what. The one question we ask families works the same way: no name, your centre code, their words.

None of it is ever used for anything but your summary and your pack, and we never share anything that could be traced back to one person.

How much time does it take?

Educators: about five minutes a week. A short video, a quick check-in and one reflection card.

Directors: around ten minutes a week to read the sheet, print the cards and read what comes back, plus four Reflection Moments across the block and one 25-minute staff meeting in Week 8 or 10. There's nothing to send us.

What do I actually get for my QIP?

At the start of Week 8 you get a summary of your team's check-in answers, in time for the staff meeting. At the end of the block you get your QIP evidence pack: statements for Quality Area 7 and your staff meeting record for Quality Area 4, ready to use as they are or tweak, a record of what your team did and said each week, and space for your own reflections and next steps. It's a Word document, so it's yours to keep and edit.

Do you guarantee Exceeding?

No. Nobody can. What we give you is structured, documented reflective practice that contributes toward the Exceeding themes for Standards 4.2 and 7.2, and that you can point to at assessment.

Where does the research come from?

Every technique is drawn from published research, and the researcher is named in the video so your team knows it isn't made up. The scope and sequence lists every source.

Is this counselling?

No. The Evida Standard is professional learning, not a mental health service, and it doesn't replace your EAP or your centre's wellbeing processes. The leadership pathway tells directors what to do if a card worries them, and anything about a child's safety goes through your child protection procedures, not onto a card.

How do we get set up?

Tell us your centre and how many educators you have. We give your director a login to the leadership pathway and a centre code, and send a poster and cards with a QR code on them. Your educators scan the code for the week's video and check-in: no login, no email address, nothing to set up. Everything runs in a web browser on a phone or computer. The only paper is the cards and the poster, which your director prints.

What if someone misses a week?

Nothing is locked. The videos run between one and a half and four minutes, so catching up is quick, and most weeks stand on their own.

What comes after Block 1?

The year. Block 1 is always first, because it's where your team learns the rhythm. Then Practice, Team, Families and Culture, in that order, each one building on the last. At the end of every year you get a short note from us on where your record stands and what the next year covers.

Does it count as professional development?

It’s structured professional learning. Each educator gets a certificate of completion that states the hours, and the evidence pack records who took part each week. It isn’t accredited by any registration body, so check your own CPD rules if you’re a registered teacher.

Is it only for early childhood centres?

It was created for early childhood centres, but the techniques and the program would be just as valuable in an outside school hours care setting.
